Dal sacrificio al maleficio: La donna e il sacro nell'eresia e nella stregoneria [Womens roles feature prominently in all interpretations of witchcraft. One element in this history is the gradual exclusion of Christian women from all sacramental functions. Many medieval women were attracted to religious movements, some of them heretical.
